This report presents recommendations to help close the skills gap for small businesses in Canada. The guiding objectives were developed as a result of previous consultations where gaps were identified. Those objectives are as follows: 1. Propose actions to encourage increased training or upgrading of employee skills in small and medium-sized enterprises; 2. Make policy recommendations to support the goal of encouraging SMEs to focus on training; 3. Highlight best practices in alleviating skills pressures, especially by means of training.
