The PSNP has not started yet in the Somali region and most literature on the PSNP program derives from the Amhara, Oromiya, Tigray and SNNPR region (MoARD 2006, ACF 2006, FEWS NET Dec 2006, Devereux 2006) • The PSNP was developed by the Government of Ethiopia in collaboration with the joint donor group involved with the Coalition for Food Security and in part funded by DFID, WB, Irish Aid and the [...] Somali Region • One direct impact of the ongoing clan-based conflict in the Somali Region is the removal of productive resources (farm and grazing land, water, etc.) from the local economy for the duration of the dispute.
