Trauma-informed care in the management and treatment of Tuberculosis in Indigenous populations

Indigenous Peoples in Canada experience disproportionately high rates of tuberculosis, driven in part by the long history of trauma they have endured due to colonialism. This report provides a review of the literature on trauma-informed models of care for Indigenous populations in Canada and draws on this literature to suggest ways of improving TB care for Indigenous Peoples, using principles of trauma informed care.
