[...] Use of Estimates The preparation of non-consolidated financial statements in conformity with Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations requires management to make estimates and assumptions that affect the reported amount of assets, liabilities, disclosure of contingent assets and liabilities at the date of the non-consolidated financial statements and the reported amounts of r. [...] The Foundation is exposed to foreign currency risk with respect to its investments in foreign currencies, including the underlying investments of its pooled funds denominated in foreign currencies, because the fair value and future cash flows will fluctuate due to the changes in the relative value of foreign currencies against the Canadian dollar.
