They form the basis for a multitude of operational tools and mechanisms that have been developed under the Alberta Wetland Policy, and represent a significant driver in recent conversations between AEP and the North American Waterfowl Management Plan, the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association, the Alberta Association for Municipal Districts and Counties, Watershed Stewardship Groups, and Waters.
