Crux From the third book by the OpenNet Initiative1 (“a collaborative partnership of the Citizen Lab at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs, the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University, and the SecDev Group in Ottawa”), this book section provides an overview of the Internet censorship infrastructure, practices, and regulations in Indonesia as of 2011. [...] The report describes the human rights situation for LGBTIQ individuals in Indonesia and the dual role of the Internet in advancing, but also threatening, LGBTIQ rights and LGBTIQ activism.
