With the help and consultation of teachers, teachers unions, educators, board employees and community groups, Polaris developed curriculum resources that were separated in 3 main parts: Science (gr.9), Geography (gr.9) and Civics (gr.10). These curriculum resources set out to provide sample activities and tools that can be used by high school teachers to better integrate water issues into their classrooms. From fall 2012 to Winter 2015, Polaris spearheaded a curriculum development project centered on water issues and social justice for high school students in Ontario. With the financial support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation , Polaris has undertaken a collaborative curriculum development process focused on a region that centered on 6 counties: Hastings, Prince Edward, Lennox & Addington, Frontenac, Lanark and Leeds & Grenville.
