• The Inner Metro region represented 58 percent (3,801 units) of the total multi-family home registrations, while 38 percent (2,504 units) were registered in the Outer Metro region and 18 percent (1,210 units) were registered in the City of Vancouver in the first quarter of 2022. [...] • Of the 4,116 new concrete condominium sales, 64 percent (2,635 sales) were in the Inner Metro region, 13 percent (535 sales) were in the City of Vancouver, and 23 percent (946 sales) were in the Outer Metro region. [...] • The Inner Metro region represented 20 percent (100 units) of all released and unsold townhome inventory, while the Outer Metro region represented 37 percent (184 units) and the City of Vancouver represented 43 percent (215 units) at the end of the first quarter of 2022. [...] • The largest five-year change continues to be the decline in affordability for new concrete condominiums, with decreases of 35.3 percent in the Outer Metro region, 11.6 percent in the Inner Metro region, and 1.9 percent in the City of Vancouver. [...] • A total of 46,983 purpose-built rental units are currently in the planning stages throughout Metro Vancouver: 39 percent in the City of Vancouver, 42 percent in the Inner Metro region, and 19 percent in the Outer Metro region.
