[...] Reporting to the City Manager, this newly created role of Deputy City Manager, Development & Growth (DCM), is a key leader in delivering on the City’s strategic priorities related to affordable housing, investing in people and neighbourhoods and ensuring development is resilient and tackles climate change. [...] The city of Toronto is dedicated to supporting Bill 109 - More Homes for Everyone Act, the division will develop, oversee and implement the policy, process, technology and organizational tools required to dramatically increase the supply of market housing in the City. [...] The DCM facilitates the development and implementation of cross-departmental synergies, tackles roadblocks and implements corporate-wide organizational effectiveness, strategies, and policies in collaboration with other members of the Senior Leadership Team, the City Manager and City Council.
