The Applicant or Applicant’s Engineer is responsible for determination of the appropriate size and type of water billing meter as well as the design of the complete meter assembly, in accordance with City requirements. [...] The water meter assembly designs must be submitted to the City, for approved, prior to initiation of any on-site works associated with the water service and meter installation. [...] For developments that are to be phased, the meter assembly shall be sized to accommodate the meter required for the ultimate build-out of the development. [...] The meter shall be located close to the wall through which the water service enters the building with no more then 2 metres of pipe between the entry point and the meter, unless otherwise approved by City (meter shop) staff.
