Canada’s Place in the World This critical issue addresses the role of business, government, and individuals to build innovative entrepreneurial ventures and support business to grow and operate in and beyond Canada’s borders, including both Canadian businesses going global and foreign business operating in Canada. [...] It also includes the roles and abilities of individuals and teams to thrive within an organization, development of leader character and competence, and the ability of leadership to successfully embrace change to create value and build strong, resilient organizations. [...] Central to this focus is the ability of businesses and leaders (Canadian, and others doing business in Canada) to innovate, develop, commercialize, and market new products, services, processes, and technology nationally and internationally while growing the economy and creating jobs. [...] Evolution of Work This critical issue addresses the challenges faced by organizations and institutions in the context of changes within internal and external environments, the roles and abilities of individuals and teams to thrive within an organization, and of leadership to successfully embrace change to create value and build strong, resilient organizations. [...] • This sub-issue includes the role of EDI in organizations and its impact on economic, social, performance, and well-being outcomes; leading and managing people as individuals; neurodiversity at work; the effectiveness of EDI interventions; the practices, policies, and procedures that contribute to EDI at work; and perceptions, experiences, and sensemaking related to EDI.
