Minister Bethlenfalvey said stressed the importance of the federal government’s role and said, “The federal government gets 39% of the revenues when a household is built and the income from that and they pay 7% of the infrastructure costs. [...] What is the plan of this whole province to keep the food local to the people who need it and at a reasonable cost? Moderator: Thank you, Minister? Lisa Thompson, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs: Thank you very much and i appreciate the question coming from Wellington, because we all recognize the the thriving agricultural industry that you have and the proud farmers that do- work 3. [...] With that said, I want everyone in this room today to appreciate the fact that the fact of the matter is because of the amazing work of Ontario farmers, Ontario is actually a net exporter of food, to give you an example our produce growing in greenhouses in Ontario is phenomenal, and over 70 percent- well over 70 percent is exported to the United States.
