c) when the absence extends for a period of over one (1) month the teacher may, at the discretion and expense of the Employer, be called upon to furnish a further medical certificate at the end of each month during the duration of the leave or until the teacher is accepted on the A. [...] 3, subject to the terms and conditions of the benefits insurance carrier policies, upon request by the teacher, the Employer will continue paying the Employer portion of the benefit costs for a teacher on parental leave, for the remainder of the parental leave, up to eighteen (18) months, provided the teacher repays the Employer portion of the benefit premiums.
