c) when the absence extends for a period of over one (1) month the teacher may, at the discretion and expense of the Employer, be called upon to furnish a further medical certificate at the end of each month during the duration of the leave or until the teacher is accepted on the A. [...] 3, subject to the terms and conditions of the benefits insurance carrier policies, upon request by the teacher, the Employer will continue paying the Employer portion of the benefit costs for a teacher on parental leave, for the remainder of the parental leave, up to eighteen (18) months, provided the teacher repays the Employer portion of the benefit premiums. [...] 16.3.2 In the event that the Employer incurs a cost of absence as a result of an act or omission of a third party, the Employer is subrogated to any right of recovery of the teacher from the third party in the amount of the cost of absence and without restricting the generality of the foregoing, the following provisions apply: 16.3.2.1 the teacher shall advise the Employer in advance of the teache.
