Commissioners also agreed to the importance of (an) advisory group(s) to both the Board and the GLAM Committee, particularly given Phase 2 of the work of the GLAM Committee in the review of Plan 2014, as well as the implications of both high and low water levels affecting the work of the ILOSLRB recently, and the U. [...] These include: (a) the commissioning of a climate change vulnerability assessment (CCVA) prior to calling for a review of the 1938 Order; (b) the public release of the Kootenay Lake Information Paper previously commissioned by the Board; (c) increasing the number of representatives on the Board from the existing four members (2 each from Canada and the US); and (d) considering a review of the 1938. [...] Commissioners supported the board letters sent in the Summer and complimented the board on their efforts in developing the Visualization Tool and the Kootenay Lake Information Paper. [...] The board is considering a Public Advisory Group to the board or to the GLAM Committee in support of the review of Plan 2012. [...] The board indicated that the board and the Commission need to revisit the Commission’s 2012 report relative to the governments providing a reference to the Commission to conduct a binational water levels study on Lake of the Woods.
