The brutal killing of an unarmed black man, George Floyd, at the hands of the police in the United States in May 2020 sparked debates about thousands of years of injustice and oppression towards visible minorities. [...] One group member will have a chance to present or critique the policy to the whole class and all students will evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the policy in an open class discussion at the end of the semester. [...] The aim of the paper is for the students to reflect on the material they learnt in the course and how they will incorporate the material in their policy and public administration-oriented careers. [...] Adherence to the values expressed through academic integrity forms a foundation for the "freedom of inquiry and exchange of ideas" essential to the intellectual 3 life of the University, see the Senate Report on Principles and Priorities. [...] Given the seriousness of these matters, actions which contravene the regulation on academic integrity carry sanctions that can range from a warning or the loss of grades on an assignment or the failure of a course to the rescinding of a degree.
