Edition 29, February 2024 Reminder of Key Dates for CUAET program February 24, 2024 will mark the second anniversary of Russia’s most recent invasion of Ukraine.  As the war goes into its third year, it is important to recognize that many Ukrainians continue to seek a safe haven in Canada. In March 2022, Canada implemented the Canada- Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) program to c. [...] The CUAET visa allows Ukrainians and their family members to enter Canada, offering free, extended temporary status and allowing them to work, study and live in Canada for up to 3 years. [...] March 31, 2024 – Last day to enter Canada under CUAET measures.   Those entering after this date with a CUAET visa are not eligible for federal supports offered under CUAET and will need to meet general requirements to enter Canada.  March 31, 2024 is also the last day to extend or change the temporary status in Canada under CUAET.
