Summary

Purpose of the Project This report provides a review and analysis of the support provided to harvesters in Nunavut by the GN’s Department of Environment (DOE) and by NTI. [...] Section Five outlines a range of strategies and recommendations to address the issues discussed in the preceding section, and these form the basis for conclusions and the summary of recommendations contained in the final section of the report. [...] The NWMB seeks to bring together the knowledge and perspectives of Inuit and government to provide for wildlife conservation and the exercise of Inuit harvesting rights in the public interest.
