She is currently involved with Bowen LIFT (Linking Island Friendly Transportation), a program that aims to reduce the use of single occupancy vehicles on the island, including the effective measurement, monitoring, and assessment for evaluation of the impact, successes, and the challenges of the program. [...] In late 2012, the BC Ministry of Environment solicited proposals to evaluate the idle reduction programs delivered to date around the province, to help define the need and specific targets for further idle reduction work, and provide recommendations for the most effective initiatives to support future endeavors. [...] The development of the evaluation documentation work, including the Framework of Idle Reduction Work in BC, Best Practices for Behaviour Change, and the Indicators of Program Success are detailed, and the research tools (focus groups, interviews and on-line proponent survey) are also described.
