As a result, the estimates of the economic impact of the live music industry in Ontario appear higher than the estimates of the industry’s impact on the Canadian economy in 2010 published in the 2012 report. [...] Section 3 of the report presents the results of an economic impact analysis of the live music industry in Ontario, including the direct, indirect and induced impacts of the industry on GDP and employment in the province. [...] In section 4, the report closes with a discussion of the future of the live music industry in Ontario including a discussion of industry growth over the next one to two years as well as description of the barriers and challenges that threaten growth.
