In 2011, the Food Security dietary needs and program of the PHSA partnered with this project to explore the food preferences for barriers to healthy eating and food security within the three an active and healthy life. [...] A graduate student practicum was negotiated to undertake a community-based research project to explore: 1) The barriers to healthy eating and food security in each of the three communities; 2) How these barriers compared to issues identified in the literature; 3) The patterns of consumption of traditional food; and 4) The barriers to accessing traditional food. [...] Cultural food The research project began with a comprehensive literature review security emphasizes to understand healthy eating and food security in BC Aboriginal the ability of First communities and to identify knowledge gaps in the current Nations and Inuit to literature.
