[...] An aspect of the accreditation process was testing the standards for emergency procedures through a review of the policies in place and the knowledge of staff. [...] The Fatality Inquiry into her death identified a number of concerns regarding bathing practices including the way in which the staff filled the bathtub, the water system, and the policy regarding bathing. [...] The Report provided a comprehensive review that resulted in a number of very specific recommendations to address the issues related to the bathing protocols in the residence. [...] One of the most important areas addressed was the safety standards that apply to residential care service that fall outside of the regulation of the Supportive Living Accommodations Licensing Act.
