Using those time frames, and a rough structure and outline of the data required for the project, the Community Engagement Team reached out to the residents of Regent Park to enable them to design the process. The Community Engagement Team reviewed school registrations in the community to iden- tify recent shifts in immigration and determined that a larg [...] The Community Engagement Te a m explained the methodology and the underlying logic of the selection process to concerned re s i- dents in an open way, identifying from the out- set the objective of resolving the concern. [...] In keeping with the community-driven model, the Community Engagement Team agreed to work with each of the concerned communities to develop a consultation process appropriate to the community, despite the directions the research suggested. [...] This exercise was designed reflection of the input, the to provide a safe means for people to participate from the outset of process of checking back the meeting and as a means to recognize and to celebrate the diver- reassured everyone and sity in the room.
