For over 18 years, applications for review and investigation under the Environmental Bill of Rights, 1993 (EBR) have been useful tools for maintaining and improving environmental policy in Ontario, and for including the public in environmentally significant decision making. The purpose of this report is to provide a statistical overview of: the subjects of EBR applications; ministries handling of applications; and the frequency with which applications are followed by government action on the issues raised.
