"The specific focus was to examine the adoption, use and effects of an e-appointment system in a showcase project involving seven first-line medical clinics. This type of application enables patients to schedule, change or cancel appointments online. Automated reminders can also be sent to patients by phone, email or text message. From the perspective of the medical clinics, such technology tools make it possible to manage schedules, automated reminders and missed appointments more efficiently.
