The Research Project and Process Teaching the Way We Aspire to Teach – Now and in the Future is a collaborative research project between the Canadian Education Association (CEA) and the Canadian Teachers’ Federation (CTF). [...] Further study is necessary to determine if a causal relationship exists given the impor- tance of the supports and the reluctance for teachers to indicate that they frequently had opportunities to teach the way they aspire to teach. [...] Chart 4 illustrates the level of agreement as to the importance of the actions of school boards and/or provincial/territorial governments in supporting teachers to teach the way they aspire to teach.
