Canada's fast-start financing : Financement accéléré du Canada : respecter notre engagement en vertu de l'Accord de Copenhague

2013

Over the last three fiscal years (2010-2011 to 2012-2013), Canada has fully delivered on its commitment to provide its fair share of fast-start financing. Over the fast-start period, $1.2 billion in new and additional climate change financing has been issued, with approximately $400 million in each of the three years. Canada's support is producing results across the globe--to date, funds have been committed at the project level to the benefit of over 50 developing countries. This support has been delivered primarily through multilateral channels, but also directly to Canada's bilateral partners and in partnership with civil society and the private sector. This report presents an overview of Canada's fast-start financing over the three year fast-start period, including by geographic region, sector and channel, as well as an update on some key initiatives of which Canada is particularly proud.
