[...] The aim of having an existing PAC member serve as Chair is to provide peer leadership and perspective for the group, and work with ICES staff to guide the PAC in its key responsibilities/roles: • Discuss issues and opportunities that exist around data and health data research; • Share feedback on projects happening at ICES and research studies; • Identify things that matter the most to the public;. [...] Interested members were asked to submit a brief written summary (350 words or less) explaining their interest in the Chair role, what existing skills and knowledge they would bring to the role, briefly describe their existing knowledge of ICES, and why the work of the PAC is important to the organization. [...] The goal of the evaluation is to try to address the comments and make improvements to the way the PAC is run the following year. [...] Members generally felt they understood the goal of the group and its place in the organization, but were looking for a better understanding of the impacts of some of the work, including follow-up from individual projects on how feedback was used.
