Educaon funding is best provided uncondionally to boards of educaon/CSF to ensure that the wishes of the community are reflected in the division’s schools and make decisions that shape the educaon of Saskatchewan’s children. [...] The Operang Grant Advisory Commitee (which includes representaon from the same members of the educaon sector) is tasked to review the components of the educaon funding distribuon model to connue addressing equity in educaon funding across the province. [...] In 2012-13, the interim model connued to provide funding at the level of spending each school division planned for 2008-09 and addional funding of $10 million was also provided to realign school divisions spending to the new funding levels to strategically plan for changes to their service delivery and look for operang efficiencies. [...] The Distribuon Funding Model does not necessarily reflect the actual cost of the component but is a methodology of equitably distribung the Educaon budget amount allocated by the Government of Saskatchewan to the 27 school divisions.
