[...] The conference will bring together multiple perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing rural, northern, and Indigenous communities in Canada. [...] We invite researchers, educators, leaders, community members, policymakers, and practitioners to submit proposals for oral presentations, poster presentations, workshops, and panel discussions that focus on the following themes: Theme 1 – Innovation and Community Development Contributions will focus on sustainable social and economic development, strategies tested in rural/remote/northern communit. [...] Theme 2 – Education, Health, and Social Systems Contributions will explore the interconnections between community, health, education, and the sustainability of rural, remote, and northern communities. [...] Theme 3 – Culture, Heritage, and Wellbeing Contributions will examine the relationships between culture, heritage, sport, leisure, and the wellbeing of rural, remote, and northern communities, and how practices influence community cohesion, sense of community, and quality of life.
