Emilie has a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with a Minor in Biology from Carleton University, a Bachelor of Education with qualifications in Intermediate and Senior Sciences from the University of Ottawa, and a Master of Education in Environmental and Sustainability Education from Lakehead University. [...] He is part of the four-person team that developed the environmental DNA surveillance methods used to track the invasion of Asian carp in the Chicago Area Waterway System and the Great Lakes. [...] He is the founder and President of Zuzek Inc., a professional services company dedicated to increasing the health and resilience of the world’s coastal communities and ecosystems. [...] He is also co-founder of the research and design practice Proof Projects, a member of the Dredge Research Collaborative, and co-director of the Healthy Port Futures project. [...] He has consulted for many of the major corporations and institutions including the Supreme Court of the United States, DoD at the Pentagon, Federal Aviation Agency, NASA, May Bank in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, the States of Virginia, Oregon, and Wisconsin and others.
