[...] The wound should be also assessed by a physician the same as for any other wound: the tetanus status of the individual must be updated and consideration given to the use of antibiotics. [...] If your pet is found to have rabies, the Medical Officer of Health will decide on the course of action to avoid the risk of rabies to you and your family.
