Main functions a) Sets the overall goals of the Political Affairs, Peace and Security portfolio in line with the AU Agenda 2063; b) Drives follow up and implementation of all AU decisions relating to the prevention, management and resolution of conflicts and crises as well as peacebuilding, post-conflict reconstruction in Africa; c) Drives the implementation of the Africa Peace and Security Archit.
