Connection to the City and Community of Saskatoon The South Saskatchewan River has always played a crucial role in the history and the founding of the city and still does nowadays. [...] The pebbles will also be symbolic for the uniqueness of each individual and for the unity of the city. [...] Those pebbles created by the public will form the basis for the installation and will be complemented by more pebbles felted by me as needed to complete and to improve the installation (mostly the smaller pebbles hanging on strings will be felted by the public and the larger pebbles for the balus- trade compartments will be felted by me). [...] All the pebbles were successfully installed in one art piece at River Landing on Sep- tember 27th on the International World Rivers Day, which gave the project a meaning beyond the City borders and drew the attention to the importance of the ecology of all our waterways. [...] Thank you also to the organizers of the Placemaker Program and all the peo- ple, who helped with the realization of the project.
