The class is underpinned by an anthropologically and theoretically driven consideration of practice and tradition, from the significance accorded ‘natural’ resources and their procurement, via how we conceptualise the circulation and exchange of materials and objects, to how we understand the choices made by ancient stone workers. [...] An understanding of the information an archaeologist gets from the study of stone tools, and the debates in anthropological archaeology such data can contribute to. [...] Recording may be done by either the instructor for the purpose of authorized distribution, or by a student for the purpose of personal study.
