[...] The region has room for improvement in the skills and capabilities of its workforce and should focus on ensuring the development of capabilities and expertise that are necessary for innovation and strengthening these skills across organizations in the region. [...] Additionally, banks’ healthy levels of capital before the pandemic were paramount in helping to mitigate the negative effects of the health crisis and providing hope for the possibility of the global economy to recover in the near future.
