[...] These diverse groups each have unique cultures, languages, and traditions, and they continue to strive for recognition of their rights, preservation of their cultures, and self-determination in the face of the ongoing impacts of colonization. [...] Traditional Governance: The culturally specific structures, systems and processes an Indigenous community uses to make decisions, engage in economic and social activities, and define the roles and responsibilities of its leaders.
