8.3 For a teacher in the first year of employment the total number of sick leave days with pay taken in a school year shall not be more than: 20 teaching days, or the total number of teaching days determined by dividing by 9 the total number of teaching days that the employee taught for the Employer during the contract year, whichever is the lesser number of days.
