An Intersectional Understanding of Older Adults

It is reported that a third of Canadian women 65 to 74 years old live with a disability, and almost half (49%) of Canadian women 75 years old and over live with a disability.8 Given the high rates of disability among older Canadians, it is therefore essential to understand the dynamics of disability and aging that create vulnerabilities to violence for this population.
