"In 2010, Social Development began a pilot project to evaluate the approach used by five nursing homes to provide 3.5 hours of care per day per resident. The current standard of hours of care is 3.1 hours per day per resident. The Department of Social Development contracted Tazim Virani & Associates to conduct the evaluation of the 3.5 Hours of Care Pilot (Project) in Nursing Homes.
