"In 2010, Social Development began a pilot project to evaluate the approach used by five nursing homes to provide 3.5 hours of care per day per resident. The current standard of hours of care is 3.1 hours per day per resident. The Department of Social Development contracted Tazim Virani & Associates to conduct the evaluation of the 3.5 Hours of Care Pilot (Project) in Nursing Homes. This summary report outlines the findings from Tazim Virani & Associates and has been prepared to help inform discussion about the future of 3.5 hours of care in nursing homes in New Brunswick"--Page 3.
