BETWEEN: HIS MAJESTY THE KING IN RIGHT OF SASKATCHEWAN, as represented by the Minister of Education (ED) and SASKATCHEWAN SCHOOL BOARDS ASSOCIATION, (SSBA) WHEREAS the Minister of ED is charged with the responsibilities related to the provision of strategic, innovative and collaborative leadership to the Prekindergarten through Grade 12 education sector, the promotion of student success and the we. [...] AND WHEREAS the SSBA represents all 27 public, separate and francophone school divisions, and reflects the rural, urban and northern diversity of the Province of Saskatchewan. [...] AND WHEREAS ED and SSBA share the common goals of: • Requiring valid and reliable information to guide decisions made in the education sector; • Providing supports required to ensure all students have an opportunity to learn; • Ensuring school board autonomy to make decisions in the best interests of the students and communities they serve; • Ensuring sufficient, equitable, sustainable, predictabl. [...] This MFA represents the commitment of both ED and the 27 school divisions, through the SSBA, to work collaboratively towards a sustainable solution to these issues through the implementation of the Provincial Education Plan.
