The importance of developing community resources and services in the North End that respond to the needs of the Black community. [...] Waldron’s research and teaching focus on the sociology of race and ethnicity, the sociology of health and mental health, the social determinants of health and mental health, and health inequalities. [...] The North End is a neighbourhood located in the urban process that seeks to restore a less affluent core of Halifax, Nova Scotia and is or working class neighbourhood through bounded on the east and north of the migration of and reinvestment by middle Halifax Harbour and the Bedford Basin, and upper-class individuals, including local although the boundary originally ended government, business grou [...] The facilitator guides the group through a series of key questions to delve deeper into one of the stories in order to identify all of the factors that affect health and well-being (the determinants of health) and the ways in which these factors are inter-related. [...] In other words, themes were generated about the effectiveness of the PATH process in helping participants identify and articulate the social determinants of health, participants’ vision of a healthy North End community and the facilitator’s opinions about the effectiveness of the PATH process in helping participants articulate the social determinants of health.
